Colt Python 357 Magnum. Blue, 6 inch Barrel. Manufactured in 1971. Excellent condition. Less than 500 rounds since new. I purchased the Python from a gentlemen in Bend Oregon in 2011. He purchased it new in 1971 and used it as his safety sidearm while Bear hunting for almost 39 years. He says that when new he and a friend went target shooting and fired approximately 100 rounds and on a second outing approximately another 100 rounds were fired. He says the Python had not been fired since, only cleaned and oiled routinely. Since I purchased it I have fired less than 300 rounds so my “Less than 500 rounds” is true and accurate. The turn line on the cylinder is almost nonexistent which also supports the near new condition of this Python. As a result of the holster while sidearm, there is very slight blueing loss on both sides of barrel just a 1/4 of an inch or so from end. That is the only reason why it isn’t mint condition. Unfortunately no box. $3,500.00 or Best offer.
