How it works:

Let us know what you have to sell, if it is an approved item, we will make arrangements to meet you either in Mayfield, Paducah, or Sedalia KY to hold the item during the auction. If its a large item, you must arrange to bring it to our office at Sedalia KY.

I will explain the auction rules and have you sign a Seller Auction Contract after we agree on the commission rates, which are as follows:

Our Commission Rates

Commission is deducted from the final selling price after your item sells. There are no upfront selling or commission fees. Commission rates are on a per item basis, not the total of your sales.

Under $1050%

$10.00 – $49.9925%

$50.00 – $99.9915%

$100.00 – $1,000.0010%

Over $1,000.005%

Reserve Fee:

(Optional) If you pay a $1 Reserve Fee, you can let us know the minimum that you will take for your item so that it doesn't sell too cheap. If you pay the Reserve Fee and the final bid doesn't reach that price, then you lose the $1 but you keep your item. If you don't pay a Reserve Fee, we will start the bidding at $0.01 and the highest bidder will get it, no matter the price. You, friends and family members are NOT allowed to bid on your own items simply to raise the price and if caught doing so, can result in a ban from West KY Auctions as a bidder and a seller for future auctions. If you don't want your item to sell too cheap, pay the $1 for a Reserve Fee per item, unless otherwise agreed.

Most auctions are set up so that they end on Friday night, so that we can arrange for the winning bidder to pick up the item on Saturday afternoon. We may also meet the bidder during the following week in Mayfield, Paducah, or Sedalia KY. Winning bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of the end of the auction and MUST pay within 7 days of the end of the auction. This may delay the Seller receiving their funds.

Sellers will receive their money within 1-14 days, and usually within 24 hours of us receiving payment. Seller will receive their money after we deposit into our escrow account, take out taxes, commission, and any s&h or delivery fees that may be added if the customer wants it shipped or delivered.

West KY Auctions will pay the seller using Zelle directly into your bank, by check, or by cash.
